Jehovah Jireh's Bakery & Catering Service History

One day in March of 2003, me and one of my friends were in the kitchen baking. 

We were having a good time as we always did. The creative genius, owner-operator
Ms. Darlene Hannah and Melissa Nakley had the God given idea to start a business from their love of baking and cooking. We shared ideas with each other and we
both agreed to go into business together. We both started cooking at a young age. Darlene Hannah started cooking at age 9. Her mother Myscellent and and her grandmother Helen were her culinary teachers. They are the best southern cooks
in the world. So, on April 13, 2003, Sweet Darlene's Bakery & Catering Service was conceived.

Darlene Hannah is the true salesperson of the group and can sale ice to an eskimo
and Melissa Nakley is one of the visionaries. The business was formed out of our
love and passion for cooking and baking. Not to mention we love people and stylish entertaining. Our wonderful friendship was the fuel that made it all happen. Plus,
we were members of the same church at one time.

Darlene Hannah attends the best church in the universe. The one and only, Born Again Church were she has been a proud member for the past 16 years, She has served in
many department areas. Melissa Nakley currently attends Royal Life Ministries.

Darlene Hannah remembers like it was yesterday. Her first customer was her
parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles & Myscellent. They ordered a Pecan Pie. They thought
it was absolutely delicious of course! We started talking to all of our family, friends
and co-workers to get the word out that Sweet Darlene's Bakery & Catering Service
was in existence. We wanted everyone to know that we were on the scence. 

In 2004, Darlene Hannah prayed and asked God to give her another name for the business since there was another professional Baker in Nashville, TN. named
Darlene as well. People always got them mixed up and there was alot of confusion.

God gave me a scripture. In is found in Gen. 22:13-14 it says, And Abraham lifted
up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in the tricket by his
thorns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering
instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place  Jehovah Jireh: as it
is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. Jehovah Jireh's  is one
of the many names of God. It means, "The Lord My Provider." That's what God has
been to us. He is a Provider. it's all about Jesus! He receives all the glory and honor!

Darlene Hannah wanted to sharpen her craft and learn how to decorate like a professsional. So, in 2004, she attended Wilton's, Inc. It is one of the top schools
for professional Bakers. She learned how to make homemade buttercream icing
and make different types of flowers. Her passion is Weddings so she went a little
further and learned how to not only make Wedding Cakes but to be a Professional Wedding Cake Designer.

In 2004, she started 3 other businesses. They were Custom Made Baskets
By Darlene, Unique Gifts By Darlene & Exquisite Elegant Weddings By Darlene.
Even though she own four businesses. They are all under Jehovah Jireh's Bakery
& Catering Service.

In August 2004, my website was launched. It has increased our business because
we re on the worldwide web. I  started shipping our products worldwide. Now,
I have customers in other states such as Alabama, California, llinois, Michigan,
New York, Pennsylvia, South Carolina & Texas etc.

Currently in 2006, Jehovah Jireh's Bakery & Catering Service is a christian-based,
Full Service One Stop shop Professional Bakery, Gourmet Catering Service, Gift Shop
And Complete Wedding Service Provider in Nashville/Antioch, Tennessee.

On Wednesday, March 22, 2006, Darlene Hannah with Jehovah Jireh's Bakery
& Catering Service had the awesome pleasure of appearing in The Tennessean
Newspaper. We appeared in the Food Section regarding an article on Cupcakes.
The Tennessean purchased some our our moist and delicious Homemade Yellow
and Chocolate Cupcakes with our signature Butter Cream Icing.

Since then, she has received lots of calls inquiring about her baking and catering
services. She even booked a catering event all because she appeared in "The Tennessean." We catered an Easter Breakfast Buffet in the middle of April 2006
for the daughter of one of nashville's finest judges in Nashville, TN.

I feel that this is only the beginning. I haven't even hit the tip of the iceberg yet.
It's just like the name Mr. Michael Jackson. It's a household name and it's known
in every state and country. That's what we want to be! Known thoughout the world.

Now, we know that won't happen over night but when the smoke clears and the dust settles, Darlene Hannah & Jehovah Jireh's Bakery & Catering Service will still be here.
We are confident of that. We have God's anointing.

In the bible it says, Eyes haven't seen nor ears heard, nor has it entered the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those that love him. We know that God has some great things prepared for Jehovah Jireh's Bakery & Catering Service.

I'm just excited that he choose me and gave me the vision. It's been such a blessing!
